The Perfect All-in-one Studio Dynamic Mic

The easiest way to get a great-sounding recording is to get it right at the source — that’s where the sE Electronics DynaCaster comes in. This studio-worthy dynamic microphone offers the outstanding sound quality that sE’s V Series is known for while upping the ante with an in-line Dynamite-style active preamp. You also get a 3-layer pop filter to safeguard against distracting plosives, plus tone-shaping switches for dialing in your preferred sonic character. While it's tailor-made for vocals, the DynaCaster sounds just as great on guitar cabs and drums. With the DynaCaster and your audio interface, you’ll be able to achieve the sound you hear in your head, right from the get-go. To top it off, the DynaCaster is built like a tank, boasting all-metal construction that’s durable enough for the rigors of stage and studio life. Here at Sweetwater, we’ve recommended the sE Electronics DynaCaster to studio vocalists, podcasters, live-streamers, engineers, and producers. Take it for a spin, and you’ll understand why!

Just what I needed!

Just like one other reviewer, I am utilizing this microphone for ham/amateur radio and I could not be any happier. The cardioid pattern of this mic has helped immensely in eliminating background noise from the fans on my radio, amplifier and computer, allowing for a much cleaner sound over the EV RE320 I was using. Don't get me wrong, that was a great mic but with the built in Dynamite pre-amp, this microphone does everything I need it to do and more. Recent, unsolicited comments include "powerful audio" and "just enough bass" which, sounds great! Also a great size microphone for the radio shack.

just what every broacaster need..

own several high-end mics, but this one is special, looks good on the stand, don't look like a clone b It just gives that sound that makes me sound like a famoso locator radial.

DynaCaster Dynamic Microphone

Hi all,
I am a Ham Radio operator and have used all kinds of mic's, But this DynaCaster
is by far one of the best microphones I have used I've used Bob Heil's microphones
that worked very well but a bit higher price, The Dynacaster with the built in preamp
is the bees knees of this mic, it takes it to a new level
and I keep getting good reports from other hams. they all ways ask what mic am I using.
the DynaCaster SE is a quality mic at a very good price I highly recommend this Microphone
for Amateur Radio (Ham) user
Thank you Sweetwater for the follow ups very good customer support

sE does it again!

Solid mic build all around! The housing is tough and the dipswitches are amazing for dialing in that extra tonality. The low end is nice and the high end is smooth. The built in boost switch makes me want to use this mic over the SM7B now!

sE has done it again!

For starters, I'm a huge sE fan. I have a few of their mics. Including their amazing v7 which I use live. I also use the V7 MC2 with my Sennheiser wireless system.

I'm a (sometimes) streamer so I'm always looking for that mic that I will stick with. I started with the SM7B many moons ago, which is great but I wanted something different (especially since everyone uses it) Ive used a rode broadcaster, re320, re20, re27n/d, procaster, pr30, pr40 etc you get the idea. Even some Lewitt condenser microphones. When this was announced, I knew it was the one.

The mic sounds great, not to mention all the built in EQ switches with the preamp. Pretty much any combination you could want! I mainly run it with the HPF and sometimes add a boost since that's where my voice seems to sound best. Even at flat EQ it sounds amazing!

Long story short, buy this. You will NOT be disappointed!

What Do Our In-house Gear Experts Think?

Mitch Dazey

Of all the podcasting and voiceover microphones out there, the sE Electronics Dynacaster is by far my favorite. As a seasoned podcaster, this is an essential tool - a Swiss Army Knife of a microphone with multiple voicing options to add a few different flavors. Plus, a built-in booster means I don't need to spend more money on any other inline preamps.
