[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from an XLR mic back to a USB I honestly didn't expect the level of quality the Wave:3 delivers, it's compact, incredibly customisable using the Wave software which is arguably one of the best features added to ANY microphone, it's easy to configure & works seamlessly with the rest of the Elgato product suite & software ecosystem. A fantastic piece of kit for new & veteran creators alike.

Amazing mic for beginners & veterans alike

Before I got my wave 3, I was using a cheap little xlr microphone that was good for what I needed, but I was having a hard time easily managing my audio during my streams, and my voice wouldn't get picked up unless the microphone was right up against my mouth. 

Enter the Wave:3 microphone. First impressions were overall VERY positive. It was easy to set up, and the software is intuitive. Super easy stream deck integration means that it's now a BREEZE to manage my audio live on stream! Gain is super easy to adjust using the included knob on the front, but I'll be honest, I don't usually use the other two functions on it that often. The 3.5mm head phone jack on the back is great for monitoring audio live so that you can know just how your stream is going to sound before you pipe it out to your stream! 

I also want to talk about how sturdy this thing is! The stand that I have my microphone on isn't the most sturdy stand on earth, and so if you hit it too hard in just the wrong way, it comes crashing to the floor. It's hit the ground more times than I'm willing to admit, and it still works perfectly!

Some things to keep in mind is that the microphone can be super sensitive to sound, so make sure that gain is only up as high as it needs to be. I use RTX Voice with it and run the mic into OBS as its own audio source and then have the Stream Output going to it's own audio source in OBS. That helps eliminate the sound of crying babies and clacking keyboards really well. Otherwise you can hear things like the tv in the living room that is probably a good 20 feet down the hall from me. However, if RTX Voice isn't and option for you, you can always apply things like a noise gate to your audio in OBS and get a similar result which is an expected part of setting up any kind of mic/audio set up.

THE AUDIO SOLUTION

I've been looking for a mic with really great sound quality but have had trouble with finding a mic that sounds good. Here comes Elgato with the Wave:3 which has the quality I've been looking for. I finally don't have to cringe at mic quality anymore.

That Mic Quality Tho.

Bought the Elgato Wave 3 in replacement of my Blue Yeti and I did not look back! 

I had a big issue with background noise as I have a fan and dehumidifier, and the Wave Link software completely wiped out background noise.

The Wave Link software is incredible, the fact that it comes with a built in mixer is insane! I can mute, and edit input levels with my stream deck or with just a click of a mouse. Another must own product for any Streamer or Creator!

Another ELITE level product from Elgato

Bought the Wave 3 mic as an upgrade from my cheap starter microphone and Elgato did not disappoint. The quality and range of recording quality is amazing with this mic. I've had it in the house recording and out on site in an aircraft hanger and in both situations it held up brilliantly with no issues at all. Highly recommend this mic if you are looking to upgrade. 
I would love to see more mic control options on wave link though, as it's just a volume control app at the moment which for me is pointless when you can do it all in the likes of OBS anyway.

Great mic, great value

I purchased my Wave 3. Pop Filter and Shock Mount all on the day they became available, and I am very happy I did. The products lived up to the hype, and with the included Wave Link software, I can control the world from my Streamdeck, well maybe not the world, but everything else on my stream and PC... If you're on the fence, get off and get this mic...

Just a Great Product

I have been using Elgato products since the Game capture HD with an old iMac and have always been impressed by their features and build quality, the Wave:3 builds on all that and more.

The Wave Link software makes managing audio for your stream and recordings very straight forward, plus with integrated Stream Deck profiles, the controls are literally at the tips of your fingers.
I recommend going all in and opting for the Shock Mount and Pop filter too for the complete Wave experience.

Pretty much everything a content creator needs.

I got the Wave:3 when it came out and I have been thoroughly impressed. I feel like it makes my voice sound thicker and crisper. I absolutely love the sleek design. I was actually pretty happy with my previous mic but Elgato products have been so good for me that I just had to have it and I have not been disappointed. I have some friends that also picked it up based on my recommendation and they have been happy with it too. I can't recommend this enough.

The Best Mic I Have Ever Had

I bought this microphone two weeks ago and it is great for streaming and gaming the futures it has you can mute the music for your stream but not your headset that is a future I like it also has really great sound quality I upgraded to the wave 3 from the blue ice snowball it was a great choice

Great Sound Quality and Great Futures

I received this a few months ago and though it would be fairly easy. I do have to mention this is my first time ever using a USB mic and I'm brand new to streaming. The feel and look of the mic itself is great. The setup and installation was pretty straight forward. The problem I had was issues to actually set it up with Streamlabs and my system. There are some videos out there but I don't feel they are in depth enough to get a noob going and I feel this is what this mic is marketed to. I could be wrong and my overall outlook of it is still great. Just a bit more research than I expected.

Learning curve

I received this mic for Christmas, and made the sore mistake of not researching it. This mic doesn't require the use of their separate software, but it is a hassle to get it to work without. I was completely unable to get the mic to work without the Wavelink software. On top of this, the software is very hard to understand, and does not have great customer accessiblity. 
One massive issue that I have been having is a crackling audio issue. I have submitted a ticket to help with this issue, but it is absurd how tedious this process has been. I have tried every Youtube video, every reddit post, and every Elgato support forum. Nothing has worked. Also, the reddit posts are all 1+ years old and the Elgato forums have a terrible unhelpful ratio.
The only solutions have been presented to me are:
Change the USB-C cords: Done and nothing changed
Plug into a different port: Every port on two PCs and a Laptop
Return the mic: :(
Change several settings is Windows: Everything is off, disabled, on the lowest setting

All of these, and my only current options are to return the mic, and most likely get a different one, or hope that support can find an extremely specific fix for me.

TL:DR; my mic crackles like crap, I do not like Wavelink
